What a buyer should know
A specialist tool, well aimed
Wakesurfing is one of the few use cases where electric propulsion wins on merit rather than principle: the rider sits directly in the exhaust plume of a petrol wake boat, and removing that is a real improvement. The ARC Boats Arc Sport's 225.5 kWh pack — roughly triple a large car battery — and 410 kW motor are sized for the job, and computer-controlled ballast and tabs are the right way to shape a wave when there is no engine note to tune by ear.
The caveat is that surf sessions are brutally power-hungry. Arc does not publish a runtime or range figure, and that absence is the single most important gap for a buyer. A pack that sounds enormous may translate into a few hours of ballasted surfing, not a full weekend. Ask for a stated figure at surf load, in writing.
For European buyers
Harder to recommend. The €240,000 is converted from $258,000 and is a US domestic price: shipping, duty and VAT land a European buyer materially higher. Arc's dealer and service network is American, and refilling 225 kWh overnight needs serious shore power that few European marinas offer. The natural rival is Nautique's electric wake boat; petrol equivalents from Malibu or MasterCraft cost roughly half. The Arc Sport is a boat for a US lake house with a private dock.
