Who it suits
The 45 Sport is Sialia's entry point and the most conventionally desirable boat in its range: 13.7 metres of carbon fibre on a Petestep stepped hull, twelve passengers, and up to 43 knots. It suits an owner who wants genuine performance without an engine note, has access to DC fast charging — the boat accepts up to 350 kW, which is the detail that makes it practical — and understands that carbon construction and a 700 kWh pack put this in a price bracket well above its length would suggest.
Reading the range figure carefully
This is where buyers must pay attention. The headline 164 nautical miles is achieved only with the optional range extender; pure-electric range is quoted as 70-plus nautical miles. Those are two very different boats, and the second is the honest one. Likewise, the 700 kWh battery and 300 kW-per-motor figures describe the top-specification build — 300 and 500 kWh packs and 150 kW motors are also offered, and the quoted 43 knots belongs to the highest configuration.
The stepped hull's claimed 35 per cent efficiency saving over a conventional planing hull is the technical argument for the whole boat. No price is published, which for a configurable carbon yacht is unsurprising but still leaves buyers unable to benchmark it.
